Liaison between Affiliate & REALTOR® members of the Association. Plans and conducts Affiliate Events; assists in the coordination of many Association functions and other special activities. Affiliate Orientation is mandatory for all new Affiliates within 90 days of joining and is a pre-requisite for sponsoring “Continuing Education” classes. (Members may only promote the company that paid for the sponsorship for a particular event).
Promotes commercial benefits and membership; responsible for planning and advocating the programs for the Commercial meetings. Assists in planning educational seminars for Association members whose primary interest is commercial real estate.
To enhance the quality of life within SEVRAR REALTOR® community and the communities of the Southeast Valley, including our past, present and future military families. Oversees programs for military support, housing opportunities, community support, and the Critical Needs Foundation.
Responsible for recommending the annual budget, providing a review of the monthly financials, and supporting financial policies such as insurance to the Board of Directors. Investigates the best methods of financing programs/projects when so instructed by the Directors.
GLOBAL BUSINESS & ALLIANCES COUNCIL
To provide members with information and resources to assist them in working with buyers and sellers from different cultures and countries. The Council meets to educate members on economic and cultural issues involved in international real estate transactions, provide information regarding international real estate issues, offer international networking opportunities, and promote education programs on cultural diversity.
Reviews, updates, and revises governing documents with Directors' approval, the Bylaws and Association Policy Manual to maintain these documents in a timely and current condition.
Monitors local legislation and recommends positions, in concert with AAR & NAR; Responsible for contacting members AAR & NAR Calls to Action, provides a forum for local issues to be brought to the attention of SEVRAR.
Acts as a reviewing body for complaints turned into the Association to determine whether to dismiss or send forward to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing.
Assist the Association and its committees in defining specific needs and provide forums for information exchange. Recommend effective avenues for the sharing of information between membership, public, SEVRAR and ARMLS. Assist in evaluating new programs, products or services and assist SEVRAR in disseminating to membership.
To provide recommendations for nomination and election of Officers and Directors; recruit potential candidates for the SEVRAR Leadership Program; determine Leadership Program qualifications and guidelines for successful completion of the program; and interview and select Leadership Program participants. Responsible for selection of REALTOR® of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, and Citizen of the Year.
MARKETING HOME TOURS
Responsible for making recommendations to the Board of Directors concerning the Marketing Home Tours program, and ensuring the coordination of tours and processes. All current moderators and tour coordinators are to serve as members of the SEVRAR Marketing Tours Committee.
Responsible for planning and promoting diverse educational offerings of the Association, ensuring that all members are provided with unique programs for their specialty areas (i.e. Commercial, Global, and Property Management). Assists with the promotion of special seminars and educational offerings of other Association committees and NAR sanctioned Institutes, Societies or Councils.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS COMMITTEE
Responsible as the Judicial Body of the Association. Conducts due process hearings in accordance with Bylaws on alleged violations of the Code of Ethics and Arbitration, Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. Oversees DRS (Dispute Resolution Service) program.
*PS Committee members must have served not less than one year on a Grievance Committee.
Responsible for conducting seminars on property management, in cooperation with the Professional Development Committee; responsible for providing period articles on topics relating to property management to the Association publications.
Responsible for interviewing, recommending, and promoting candidates, with emphasis on the local level. Oversee RAPAC and promote fundraising opportunities.
YOUNG PROFESSIONALS NETWORK
Recommend, organize and implement programs that help young real estate professionals excel in their careers, including idea exchange opportunities, and encouragement to become involved in the core areas of the Association.
